Cookie Policy
Version 0.1 (draft) — last updated 14 August 2026.
1. Our approach
We keep cookies to a minimum. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking pixels, or cross-site behavioural profiling. Because we only use strictly necessary storage, we do not show a cookie consent banner — under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), consent is not required for cookies that are essential to provide a service you have requested.
2. What we actually use
| Name / type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase authentication cookies | Keeps an administrator signed in to the private admin dashboard. Not set for ordinary visitors. | Session / until sign-out |
| Checker progress (session storage) | Remembers your answers as you move between the eight steps, so you don't lose them. Stored in your browser only and cleared when you submit or close the tab. | Until tab is closed |
Note: checker progress uses your browser's session storage rather than a cookie — it is never transmitted to us until you submit the form.
3. Analytics
We record a small number of anonymous usage events on our own server — for example, that a checker was started or completed. These are not linked to advertising identifiers, do not use third-party analytics cookies, and are not used to track you across other websites.
4. Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Because the cookies we use are strictly necessary, blocking them may prevent the admin dashboard from working, and clearing session storage will lose any in-progress checker answers.
5. Changes
If we ever introduce non-essential cookies, we will add a consent banner and update this policy first.
